Before using the Website it is your responsibility to read the Privacy Policy and to notify us in the manner set out in the Privacy Policy if you do not want us to collect information about you. By accessing and using the Website you are agreeing to be legally bound by the Terms and Conditions and this Privacy Policy. You should therefore also read the Terms of Use before using the Website.

The Operator is committed to protecting your privacy. It is very important to us that you should be able to use the Website without having to compromise your privacy in any way.

To ensure that our Website service is continually improved it is necessary to know something about our users. We need to establish an accurate picture of the needs and wishes of our users and to be able to communicate with you. This will enable the Website to continue to offer a service that is relevant and interactive.

We will not pass on any specific information about any individual user (including your e-mail address) unless we have your prior permission. We will only share aggregate data about our users, traffic patterns and sales with our advertisers and trading partners with whom we have an association.

What information do we collect?

We automatically collect some data about our users' browsing actions and traffic patterns. This is aggregate data that does not identify any individual and will list which of the Website pages are most frequently visited and by which types of users.

We may also ask you to provide information on a voluntary basis in order to get a clearer picture of our users. It is then entirely up to you whether you are happy to give us this information.

In the course of asking us for information to provide annuity quotes or to purchase an Actuarial Report you will be asked to provide some details about yourself and your partner. You may also choose to e-mail us or make contact with us in other ways. Such contact gives us information about you.

We may collect more specific information about some of our users. This may include your name, e-mail address, marital status, the address where you live, a contact telephone number, details about your or your partners pension arrangements or details about your or your partners health and medical conditions.

Why do we collect aggregate data?

We use aggregate data where no individual is identifiable to help us improve our understanding of our users and their information preference. We use this to assist us in arranging relevant advertising and commercial opportunities as well as ensuring improved editorial content. This also helps us to develop the Website and determine its use.

We want to be able to direct your attention to editorial content and commercial opportunities that may be of interest to you.

We want to share the data with advertisers, trading partners and other commercial entities with whom we have or may have an association. We may also share data that they obtain about their users, which may include you.

Why do we collect specific information?

We use specific information about your preferences for annuity income or health and medical conditions where you are requesting information for an impaired life annuity, to provide you with annuity quotes.

We use specific information that you are happy to give to us in order to provide you with an Actuarial Report application form.

With your prior consent we want to share information with a partner authorised firm or partner actuary firm with whom we have or may have an association. We may also share specific information they obtain about their users, which may include you.

With your consent we want to share information you provide for an annuity quote with partner authorised firms, product providers and their underwriters in order to secure the most competitive annuity rates for you at that time.

With your consent we want to share information you provide for an Actuarial Report with a partner actuary firm, in order to provide you with a fair valuation of a defined benefit (final salary) scheme.

By submitting your personal specific information to sharingpensions.co.uk, you give us and a partner authorised firm or partner actuary firm permission to contact you by email, telephone or post to clarify or ask further questions in relation to your enquiry;

The Operator may provide aggregate data about users, traffic patterns and related site information to reputable third parties but this data will include no personally identifying information. The Operator complies with all relevant legal requirements and takes all reasonable care to ensure that your information is secure and private and is only seen by responsible third parties.
